We stand united in our priorities:
- Accessibility: Redeveloping Bear Cut Bridge, fixing deteriorating conditions, addressing poorly planned events on Rickenbacker Causeway, and reducing traffic on Crandon Boulevard.
- Infrastructure & Sustainability: Solving insurability challenges, advancing utility undergrounding, managing stormwater runoff, and protecting against rising sea levels.
- Safety: Ensuring continued support and funding for our top-rated police and fire services.
We are fortunate to have dedicated volunteer Councilmembers who set priorities and ensure financial responsibility, along with a capable Village Management team that works to achieve these goals.
But maintaining our high quality of life and securing the future of our island paradise requires more than just their efforts. It demands the active support of our passionate, well-informed community.
The challenges we face cannot be solved within a single four-year Council term. They require sustained effort and significant investment, including contributions from Village, County, State, and Federal funds.
The responsibility to lead and protect our community’s vision falls on us, the residents. This is our greatest strength—and our greatest vulnerability. Without our active involvement, our future is at risk, from complacency and from those who seek to divide and mislead us.
Key Biscayne United (KBU) is committed to providing clear, fact-based information, like the above infographic, on our local government’s progress and advocating for leaders who support our shared priorities.
If you believe in this vision, we invite you to contribute. Donations will fund our communications, and every dollar will be transparently reported. None of our officers or volunteers receive compensation. Contributions can be made at hkbunited.org.
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Key Biscayne United
